Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll operations and lumping department . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, lumpers. ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and providing exceptional service to our employees. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, corporate accounting, and tax regulations, as well as proficiency in payroll.
Duties
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee compensation.
- ensure that our lumping team unload containers on time for our clients.
- Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws affecting payroll.
- Prepare and review payroll reports, including debits and credits to accounts.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data management related to payroll.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and support to staff on payroll-related inquiries and issues.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in payroll management.
Experience
- Proven experience in payroll management or a related field is essential.
