What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Coordinator position at QC Material Handling Equipment?
Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Coordinator acts as the point of contact for clients and is the behind-the-scenes support for our sales team. This person should demonstrate an enthusiasm for communicating with people on the phone as they go through their workday. This includes speaking with customers to promote new orders, working with potential clients to determine their needs, and processing orders by collaborating with manufacturers and distributors. This role also includes preparing proposals and other various deliverables for members of the sales and marketing team and acting as the general “glue” of our operation. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Be advised: we are a small, versatile group with no room for people unwilling to go the extra mile or operate outside of their comfort zone. We are looking for an outgoing “people person” with a strong work ethic, passion for engaging with clients, and specialty for solving problems independently.
Essential Job Functions:
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and helpful manner
- Actively engage with past customers to promote repeat orders
- Perform follow-up activities with potential clients in the sales pipeline as needed
- Make outbound phone calls to prospective clients
- Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and customers to create proposals and process orders
- Maintain the organization of our company CRM platform and cloud storage
- Assist sales and marketing department in coordinating a variety of initiatives including direct mail, social media posts, and various promotions.
Requirements:
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills
- Experience in distribution sales
- Must work a minimum 3 days per week
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Outgoing personality, comfortable speaking on the phone
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
