Your Passion
To support QC Supply's operational growth, we are seeking an experienced (Construction/Maintenance) Project Manager to support the General Services group. As our sales and project management teams operate at the regional and local levels, this individual will be responsible for developing consistent project management processes that are utilized across the organization. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with QC Supply's internal teams as well as external owners, integrators, subcontractors and suppliers.
In addition to regular management responsibilities, travel will be required, at times up to 75%. This role primarily covers the Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana geography, and can expand into surrounding footprint.
Role and Responsibilities
- Adheres to (Construction/Maintenance) project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders
- Execute the vision and strategies for effective project management across the organization
- Assume primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering project activities through the entire project life cycle
- Track deadlines, deliverables, resources, action items, and timelines throughout projects and hold stakeholders accountable to their contractual obligations
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding the project scope, specifications, timeline and budget
- Coordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractors
- Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments
- Manage the receipt, inventory and delivery of materials and equipment to project sites
- Demonstrate a project-focused culture, regarding high expectations and accountability towards project management practices, methods, and standards
- Foster an environment of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and coordinated execution
- Ensure all project management processes, tools, templates, and guidelines are shared, maintained, updated, and refreshed on a regular basis incorporating lessons learned and best practices
- Oversee performance metrics and projections, monitor key project metrics such as cost, schedule, and quality indicators individually and in the aggregate across the business
- Oversee the processes for change management including required written notifications, communications to client, contract/subcontract modifications, and resolutions with clients and contractors
- Provide detailed and executive level reports and updates to leadership on status, roadmaps, dependencies, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ensures visibility and transparency through tools and dashboards
- Define, manage, and direct a forensic project analysis process to leveraging best practices and techniques for identifying, quantifying, and tracking the realization of expected benefits
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of Construction/Maintenance Project Management experience is required
- Excellent understanding of project management concepts and proven skills in the effective use of project management tools
- Strong ability to manage Smartsheets, Microsoft Project, Excel and other tracking project management software and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, interface with different company business units and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding
- Excellent leadership capabilities, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with and influence clients, team members, management, and external groups
- Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement and quality management
- Highly effective decision-making and judgment with a sense of urgency and a proactive approach
- Excellent business and financial acumen with effective conceptual and strategic planning skills
- Ability to work as a team player with team, stakeholders, and peers to establish goals, objectives, and action plans
- The ability to lead change and achieve goals through collaboration, influence, and partnership
