What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Washer position at QCC, LLC?
SUMMARY
Files, deburrs, polishes, buffs and washes parts of various types of materials and metals by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uses filing tools and abrasive wheels to deburr various types of metal.
- Uses buffing wheels and wire brushes to remove burrs, scratches and create a smoothe finish.
- Responsible for changing the various types of abrasive and buffing wheels.
- Uses scrapers, files and emery cloth for hand deburring operations.
- Operates tumbler machine and determines the proper median to achieve the desired results.
- Uses other types of equipment such as, arbor press, bench lathe, drill press and a mechanical deburring system in the course of performing this classification of work.
- Performs bead blasting and sand blasting operations.
- Washes all parts before transferring them to final inspection, outside services, finished parts for stock or shipped finished goods to the customer.
- Uses a scale to count parts and packages them in appropriate containers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to 1 year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
