Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with elected officials, government staff, and regulatory agencies to support the company’s business interests.
- Monitor legislative and policy developments that may affect the company’s operations; analyze and report on potential impacts.
- Represent the company in interactions with city, county, and state governments, ensuring a proactive approach to emerging regulations and local initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage the factory permitting process, including documentation, renewals, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements related to factory operations, labor, environmental standards, and more.
- Assist in drafting position statements, reports, and communication materials to support government relations initiatives.
- Serve as the point of contact for government inquiries and participate in relevant meetings, hearings, and events.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to align internal practices with regulatory expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Communications, or related field (Master’s or JD preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in government affairs, legal counsel, or public policy roles.
- Strong knowledge of governmental and regulatory processes at the local and state levels.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a professional demeanor and political sensitivity.
- Proven ability to analyze policy and regulatory changes and develop strategic responses.
- Experience working in or with manufacturing or industrial organizations is a plus.
- experience in crisis management, community engagement, and corporate advocacy.
