POSITION DESCRIPTION:
QCELLS seeks an energetic and proven Manager of Training to assist in training and quality assurance for the Home Energy Services division. As a Manager of Training, you will be responsible for assisting sales teams as well as our installation partners with focus on product training, field sales training, and customer engagement especially around ESS sales (Battery) and responsibilities include defining SOP’s from site survey thru system activation, building out best in class quality standards guidelines that include seamless hand-offs between corporate and field operations and working with other peers to ensure a customer experience that is second to none. The ideal candidate is an experienced trainer that understands the technical aspects of our products, how they are presented from sales, has outstanding people skills, and can identify process improvement opportunities in the solar world. Experience in solar sales or training is a must.
This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA or San Francisco, CA with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.

Responsibilities
- Develop and administer comprehensive technical sales training programs tailored to the products overview & specific needs of sales for our direct and indirect sales channels.
- Facilitate engaging and informative technical sales training with both sales channels to help better set expectations for the delivery of our products and customer experience.
- Create or develop training modules and platforms for such topics as sales presentations, sales techniques, and online tools to support learning objectives.
- Collaborate with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to ensure training content remains current and relevant to field sales and best practices.
- Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to optimize learning outcomes.
- Provide and execute financial product training and ongoing support and learning development for our sales channels, FAEs, and even customer education training to ensure our customers understand our financial products.
- Stay informed about advancements in our products, processes and procedures, regulatory changes, and incorporate relevant updates into the training curriculum.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to schedule virtual or in person training sessions and ensure knowledge-based requirements are met for both direct and indirect sales channels.
- Manage and maintain internal and external knowledge-based materials.
- Assist reps real-time to help them close deals, even and especially when they are actively engaged with customers.
- Associate degree with 12 years of professional work experience with a minimum of 9 years in solar and battery sales and/or training -OR- a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or other related field preferred but not required and with 8 years of professional work experience with a minimum of 5 years in solar and battery sales and/or training.
- Demonstrated outstanding solar sales skills and results.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence effectively.
- Comfortable working with external and internal customers as well as cross-functionally to drive business results.
- Self-driven, superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks.
- Excels in ambiguous situations and is a creative problem solver.
