POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager- Controls to lead the definition and development of the next generation of Qcells system controllers as well as support the existing product line. This role involves defining specifications and requirements for Qcells control and software solutions, plant control, and data acquisition systems specifically focused on commercial, industrial, and community (CCI) scale storage and PV storage applications including Microgrids. This position will work closely with the Qcells control and software engineering team while supporting external customers.

This position will work closely with the Qcells control and software engineering team while supporting external customers.
Responsibilities
- Define detailed features and functions for community-scale control solutions including Plant control and DAS systems, Field network switches, communication modes & protocols, Microgrid controllers
- Lead product lifecycle from inception-to-launch and manage subsequent market delivery
- Define the test and certification requirements control & communication solutions
- Own long-term product roadmap, prioritization, and definition of product features
- Support the controls team in defining system architecture, partner & component selection, and make “Build vs Buy” decisions
- Participate in design review meetings, track issues, and effectively document resolution.
- All other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
- Master’s Degree or higher in Power System, Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering
- 5 years of experience as a design engineer, applications engineer, technical sales of control, data acquisition & communication products
- 3 years of experience interacting with SCADA engineers & Utilities in the US market
- 3 years of product/ project management experience with control, data acquisition & communications products or deployment
- Field experience deploying Solar/ storage/ wind plant control and data acquisition systems in the US market
- Strong understanding of network communication architectures, protocols, NERC standards
- Familiarity with project lifecycle and contract structures for solar, storage, or renewable projects

Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
