SUMMARY
The primary role of the Commissioning Operations Manager is to develop, manage, and coordinate commissioning project activities for PV and BESS facilities. This includes managing external commissioning agencies, consultants and contractors, and managing project meeting and reporting functions as well as team metrics for project performance. The Commissioning Operations Manager reports to the Director of Commissioning and shall be highly competent in project management with strong organizational and operational skills with the ability to communicate and share knowledge with others, ensuring project and organizational success within the Qcells
This position is hybrid, you will work out of your home office and travel to different jobsites, working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm or 9 : 00am to 6 : 00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 10%.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and coordinates with the commissioning team and Contractor / Vendor of all commissioning activities.
- Coordinates the implementation of commissioning activities to ensure consistent implementation across departments and projects.
- Conducts multitask duties, to support commissioning activities in relation to the Operations budget, Plant improvements and Modifications Developments / Commissioning. This includes technical review of complex operating problems, ordering, budgeting and follows up of materials requirements.
- Assist and coordinate the writing of the commissioning sections of contract documents and / or reviews work produced by others.
- Directs and coordinates the commissioning process with the commissioning Director and Managers from concept design through functional testing of systems to post occupancy verification.
- Participate in business development proposals and interviews with prospective customers.
- Assist project director for large projects. Develop a staffing plan and fee schedules for service proposals.
- Oversees delivery method of services; provides QA / QC review of all client’s deliverable reports.
- Oversight and management of project staff, and services.
- Manage professional development and growth for all Cx staff.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for all aspects of commissioning, to include but not limited to, PPE, tools, etc.
- Work cross departmentally to ensure the commissioning teams have all necessary tools to safely and efficiently perform commissioning services.
- Travel up to 10% as needed.
- Regular attendance, in accordance with the company’s attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position.
