TITLE: Assistant Cashier
JOB FAMILY: Funds Management

Job Summary
The Assistant Cashier is responsible for assisting with the oversight of day-to-day operations and ensuring that all operational processes align with both QCBT’s and QCRH’s strategic goals while maintaining efficiency, profitability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize bank performance and achieve growth targets.
Oversee the management and timing of cash flows (daily, monthly, annually) to ensure adequate liquidity and availability for funding of debts and loans.
Management of correspondent and QCRH charters clearing and settlement of checks, ach, wires, instant payments, fed discount window transactions, et al.
Collaborate with other executive team members to align business objectives and product pricing with ALM targets.
Ensure that all operations are following QCR Policies, banking laws and regulations.
Review deposit and retail operations practices.
Ensures products on the core platform perform exactly as disclosed.
Collaborate with Treasury Management and Retail Operations to make corrections and updates.
Collaborate with QCRH and QCBT BSA Officers to oversee BSA policies, procedures, and frameworks, ensuring the institution adheres to necessary standards for anti-money laundering (AML), fraud preventions, and cybersecurity.
Working with the Bank Security Officer, oversee the Bank’s Physical Security Program in coordination with QCRH’s CSO.
Coordinate the implementation of technologies and systems to improve operation efficiency, such as automation and digital banking tools.
Monitor Net Promoter Performance and responses.
Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Address customer concerns and develop strategies for enhancing the customer experience.
Lead, mentor, and develop the bank’s operational team to ensure a high-performance culture.
Work closely with department heads to establish clear goals, improve team performance, and encourage collaboration.
Monitor non-interest income sources and performance to budget.
Identify areas where costs can be reduced without impacting service quality.
Stay informed about technological advancements in banking and finance, partnering with QCR Tech/Ops for project prioritization, road mapping and implementation.
Advocate for client driven solutions that meet the business needs.
Analyze operation data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Hire, develop, motivate, and train staff, including planning and delegating work assignments and projects.
Evaluate performance, administer quarterly touch points and deliver performance evaluations.
Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable to performance and behaviors aligned with our culture.
Understand and administer compensation based on a pay for performance philosophy, including merit increases and variable pay.
Participate in community engagement events. This can include professional, civic and community groups.
Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements applicable to this position.
Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business administration or related field
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the banking sector specifically in a senior operational role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Ability to accumulate and analyze complex operational data and make strategic decisions.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Working knowledge of banking technology and products including digital delivery channels, servicing platforms, monitoring tools.

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $100,000 annually. The actual starting salary or hourly wage will be based on qualifications and business needs and may vary, as permitted by applicable state law.
