PAY GRADE & FLSA: Grade 6, Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, the Commercial Banking Associate I is responsible for preparing commercial loan documents, maintaining loan files, and providing clients with information about the Bank’s products and services, and processing transactions as it relates to those accounts. Contributes to client relationships by providing consistent quality level of service.

Under minimal supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, the Commercial Banking Associate I is responsible for preparing commercial loan documents, maintaining loan files, and providing clients with information about the Bank’s products and services, and processing transactions as it relates to those accounts. Contributes to client relationships by providing consistent quality level of service.
Essential Functions
- Assist officers to apply due diligence in compliance with loan policy and approved structure for each credit in regard to the preparation of commercial loan documentation and make necessary disbursements.
- Generally assigned to more complex portfolios and/or alignments.
- Record and release all types of collateral documents.
- Assist officers with clearing loan exceptions/ticklers.
- Organize and maintain all documents within an imaging system and within the loan file.
- Obtain and maintains a thorough knowledge of internal procedures, various systems and/or web-based applications used but not limited to Signature, Laser Pro, Nautilus.
- Effectively communicate with and assist officers, employees, clients and local professionals with any questions or research they may request to satisfy their clients’ needs.
- Assist officers with a wide range of servicing duties related to loan and depository relationships.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to other CBAs.
- Assist manager with special projects as assigned.
- Provide timely and effective responses to servicing needs.
- Complete all required training and comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.

- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consumer/commercial loan documentation and processing experience.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong math skills, and ability to organize and analyze complex financial information.
- Ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Capability to work and collaborate with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and professional manner.
- Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Duties are performed in a professional office environment.
- Ability to lift 5 to 25 lbs.
