What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician position at QCTV Corp?
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including security alarms, access control
systems, and CCTV systems.
- Perform site surveys to determine the best placement and configuration of low voltage
equipment.
- Run wiring and cables for low voltage systems, ensuring proper connections and
adherence to safety standards.
- Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to identify and resolve any issues or
malfunctions.
- Program and configure low voltage systems according to customer specifications.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers regarding low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a related field.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems, including cabling, networking, and
telecommunications protocols.
- Familiarity with locksmithing principles and techniques.
- Experience in alarm system sales, installation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using power tools and other equipment necessary for low voltage
installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Note: This job may require occasional travel to customer sites.
