QE Solar is seeking a skilled and reliable Apprentice Technician to join our team. As an Apprentice Technician, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations in the Southern California area using a company truck (Hauling a Scissor lift). In this role, you will be loading and unloading a trailer and repetitively torquing bolts on our solar module. You will also be responsible for providing on-going field services support to multiple solar, battery storage (BESS) or other renewable energy systems on a continual / on-demand basis in order to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot / resolve equipment issues, support emergency repairs and other provide ongoing O&M compliance support. You will also assist with all routine site inspections, maintenance projects, equipment & system testing, and other project compliance, troubleshoot or restoration matters. Apprentice Technicians regularly participate in field support, training and project safety orientations / classes in order to develop skills and technical expertise in one or multiple disciplines This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and attention to detail. Must be 21 years of age.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- 25% Driving and 75% Torque Checks
- Torquing and working with senior technicians.
- Safely operate a pickup truck
- Completing and submitting daily Torque reports
- Loading and unloading of the lift
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Inspect lift before and after each trip, reporting any
- Maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
