Overview :
A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for a Senior Oracle Developer for a 6-month remote contract opportunity that is likely to extend. Due to the nature of the role, they are currently only considering hybrid candidates local to or around the Austin area. This role may require 1-3 days on-site in their Austin office depending on experience.
The Senior Oracle Developer will take on a senior-level role responsible for analyzing requirements, developing server and client-side software, performing unit testing, and creating documentation. The role requires developing secure, efficient data handling methods across various schemas and servers, implementing database components, and troubleshooting legacy applications using Oracle Forms and Reports. The developer will contribute to complex database designs, query optimization, and database migrations across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Additionally, the position involves project management activities, emergency support, and collaboration with large project teams following Agile methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications (Required) :
7 Years : Experience designing and developing Oracle databases, including PL / SQL, SSL, ER diagramming, table normalization, and performance tuning on relational databases.
5 Years : Experience in Oracle Forms and Reports development and support.
5 Years : Hands-on experience with Oracle Web PL / SQL.
5 Years : Experience working in a project team environment with Agile methodologies.
5 Years : Proficiency in testing to meet accessibility standards and other development best practices.
5 Years : Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships across teams.
3 Years : Experience with additional database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Preferred Qualifications :
5 Years : Experience managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
3 Years : Experience leading a database team.
3 Years : Power BI experience for advanced data visualization and reporting.
