QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Field Service Representative (Technician), Alternative Navigation (ALTNAV) to join our team at Fort Carson, CO to support our customer, Project Manager Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PM PNT).
Duties:
- Supports Alternative Navigation (ALTNAV) and systems integration efforts, configuration management, quality assurance testing or acquisition and resource management.
- Responds to gaining unit requirements pertaining to hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Screens unserviceable components to verify or eliminate faults.
- Applies technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in fault isolation, identifying malfunction cause, and restoring equipment/system operations.
- Analyze and report on maintenance requirements, actions, and failures.
- Analyze and provide oversight for obsolescence surveillance & reporting.
- Maintain configuration control of the Ground Control Station (GCS).
- Develop and maintain GCS Maintenance Schedule and report as needed.
- Maintain cellular comms capability (SIM card) at GMS locations.
- Develops and maintains an equipment status report, tracking all failures, fixes. Develops and maintains failure, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS).
- Supports the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network, from resolving interoperability issues across platforms to supporting hardware acquisition.
- Responsible for understanding Electronic Warfare (EW) threats against the systems under management.
- Provides support for engineering staff conducting systems requirements analyses and provides design team input and workflow analysis for project engineering related tasks.
- Performs RMA actions in response to equipment under warranty from the OEM.
- Maintains property accountability tracker for all locations including all spares and consumables with PM PNT.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be familiar with the Army and DoD standards – guiding the development of PNT architecture, including implementation of the physical network underlying these systems.
Required Clearance:
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in field closely related and five (5) years of project related experience including one (1) year of experience in development, test, and evaluation of major systems.
- Four (4) years of additional experience may substitute degree.
- Previous experience as an Army Field Service Representative supporting hardware/ software systems required.
Travel:
Not less than 50% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.
Work Environment:
This position will be performed in various locations, including government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands of this position include ability to:
- Be independently mobile.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
- Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 80 pounds.
- Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
