QEMS provides contract electronics manufacturing services, specializing in building printed circuit assemblies for a diversified customer base having products in a wide variety of industry and market segments.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities
- Implement procurement procedures and policies in Purchasing Department
- Responsible for the procurement and sourcing of electronic/mechanical components and related services required by the company to support customers’ orders while ensuring inventory targets are met.
- Responsible for purchased items with quantity, specification requirements, the timely delivery of items purchased, and managing the relationship with the suppliers
- Responsible for materials/planning function in the company and manages material flow, long term supply contracts, supplier negotiation, and cost control
- Responsible for Cost savings and comply with quoted cost
- Maintain and comply with ISO9001 and customer requirements
- Material compliance (custom parts, mineral conflicts, counterfeits) including maintaining appropriate quality standards and customer specifications
- Responsible for Vendor RMA based on discrepancy and non-conformities
- Manage MRP demands and on time delivery
- Review new material requirements to comply min/mult, lead time, manufacturing special requirements
- Qualifications and Skills
Required Education/Experience
- Associates Degree in Business or Engineering, B.A. or B.S. is a plus.
- 5 years experience in purchasing role, working with electronics manufacturing.
- Must have experience with material management, ERP/MRP and cost control.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain.
- Experience in purchasing management is a plus.
- Experience negotiating contracts, developing and working with inventory management strategies and systems, required.
Skills Requirement:
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel, Word
- Able to type 10-key with accuracy
- Willing to work long hours and Saturday work as required
- Ability to resolve conflict and problems including facilitation of solutions, required.
- Strong analytical skills - read, analyze and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, drawings, government regulations
- Excellent communication skills
