Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain the highest standards for quality workmanship, safety, and consistency throughout the process and Control Plan.
- Manage Production/Inventory department in the achievement of operational objectives with impact on product labor and scrap costs, product quality, and customer delivery performance.
- Optimize production schedule vs. demand to minimize exposure to overtime.
- Responsible for production schedule and on-time delivery to customers.
- Responsible for resources and determines necessary overtime to meet customer demand and maintain efficiency well in advance.
- Improve production efficiency and throughput with implementing Lean Manufacturing, including Continuous Improvements
- Has broad responsibility and authority to identify and resolve issues, involve additional resources, and provide direction for production activities. Lead daily production meetings to coordinator activities and provide key direction and communication to effected departments.
- Monitor and manage inventory processes and procedures that ensure inventory accuracy and meeting inventory goals
- Manage continuous cycle counts as well as physical inventory, ensure all measures necessary to maintain inventory accuracy
- Maintains a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
- Participates with Quality to address and resolve customer complaints and concerns related to production.
- Responsible for company policies to ensure production personnel follow accordingly.
- Responsible for evaluation of production personnel annual performance reviews.
- Responsible for production personnel HR matters.
- Participates to Production Interview and New Hires
Qualifications and Skills
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred in Electrical/Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Must have 5 years of Manufacturing Management experience.
Must have prior experience with ISO9001 (IPC-A-600 certification, 7711/7721 and J-STD preferred)
Must have Lean problem solving experience
Must experience in Electronic Assembly
Skills Requirement:
Strong managerial, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to foster teamwork between departments
Long range capacity, space and labor planning
Must have experience with production efficiency and the resources to satisfy production and planning schedule.
