Position Overview
Far Ridgeline Engagements (a QinetiQ US company) is seeking a Spanish linguist with CI/HUMINT or OSINT background as well as substantial personal or professional familiarity with Latin America. This position is supporting Defense Intelligence Agency at Quantico, VA.
Responsibilities
Linguists will work in a very fast-paced, fluid environment. This role may require working occassional nights or weekends. Linguists are required to perform a broad range of tasks, no just translation. This role will require regular use of Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat as well as a variety of customized tools and databases.
Required Qualifications
- A current, active TS/SCI. #qinetiqclearedjob
- Will be required to complete a CI Poly before employment.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 (General Professional Proficiency) or above in both English and the target language. The client requires current test scores of ILR 3 or higher in reading, writing, listening, and speaking for both the target language and English.
- Specific experience performing written translation into English
- Deep regional expertise
- Moderate to advanced computer skills
- Successful Completion of Pre-Employment Background Investigation required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates with a CI Poly, especially any who are DIA cleared #qinetiqclearedjob
- BA/BS highly desirable but not strictly required
- IC experience - CI/HUMINT preferred
- Strong communication and briefing skills
- Ability to work well both independently and on teams
