What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Mobile Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor position at Qlabs,Inc?
QLabs is looking to expand our team with a part time mobile phlebotomist in Harrison County, WV and the surrounding counties.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
· Collect urine and blood specimens, organize work by matching paper orders with specimens and specimen labeling; sorting specimens; checking labeling; logging specimens; keeping work surfaces clean and orderly
·Accurately obtains and enters patient data and documentation for billing and medical records purposes
·Properly prepares and/or stores specimen samples. Prepared samples to be sent to the laboratory.
·Interfacing with referring provider staff and personnel as related to the procedures and processes of testing specimens, and collecting patient information, records or documents needed for the purpose of processing specimens, lab testing and billing for testing
·Perform QLabs’ general customer service duties, including phone inquiries, patient/client encounters, and interfacing with referring provider staff and personnel
·Limits scope of work to exclude any interpretation or analysis of specimens and to exclude any patient education or relay of health information
·Report any issues that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, notifies appropriate lab or management personnel
·Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures including OSHA, HIPAA, and all other safety, patient protection, accreditation, and Licensure guidelines and rules
·Travel around designated region in personal automobile, or company car is assigned, to collect specimens from account locations
·Performs other related work, as required or requested by QLabs, Inc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to lift and carry 0-20 pounds very frequently
Able to lift and carry 20-40 pounds very infrequently Able to lift and carry greater than 40 pounds very rarely
Able to Sit for up to 6 hours per 8 hours of work and stand for up to 2 hours per 8 hours of work
Able to Walk intermittently throughout work day
Able to Bend, Reach, Squat occasionally, as needed throughout work day Able to utilize laboratory collection supplies, computers, office equipment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License
High school education
Current Phlebotomy License
