Job Title: Associate Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology

QLD Biotherapeutics is at the forefront of Cell and Gene Therapy, developing innovative treatments for neurological disorders, eye diseases, and tumors. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our In Vivo Pharmacology team, focusing on early drug discovery and technology development. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with various rodent animal models in a fast-paced and collaborative research environment.
You will work closely with an experienced drug discovery team, contributing to the early stages of research and development. This position provides excellent learning and career growth opportunities for those passionate about preclinical research and therapeutic innovation.
- Conduct histology and pathology work, including tissue collection, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining (HE/IHC), imaging, and data analysis.
- Perform routine in vivo procedures such as animal handling, dosing (injections), blood and tissue collection, and study surveillance.
- Support efficacy, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), and toxicology studies.
- Maintain laboratory organization, including equipment upkeep, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Organize and present experimental data at project meetings.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Strong background in histology and pathology, with proficiency in HE and IHC staining.
- Hands-on experience with in vivo animal studies, including animal handling, routine injections, and sample collection.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience with eye disease models is a plus.
