Function: Research & Development
Job Title: (Sr.) Research Scientist of CRISPR Editing
Job Location: Boston
Job Summary
At QLD Biotherapeutics, we develop cell and gene therapies using innovative technologies to treat devastating diseases. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced (Sr.) Research Scientist with expertise in multiplex genome editing techniques in stem cell/immune cells to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments to manipulate multiple genes knockout and insertion and confirm the biological function in vitro and in vivo.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with an experienced drug discovery and development team and lead early-stage platform development in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities
· Design and optimize sgRNAs and large gene insert templates to achieve multiplex knockout and knockin to the best sites in stem cell/immune cell. Optimize cell-specific electroporation protocols for best efficiency, cell viability while minimizing genome instability and off-target effects.
· Confirm on-target editing efficiency with phenotyping, genotyping and functional assays in vitro and in vivo. Analyze off-target effects using whole genome sequencing and bioinformatics tool.
· Perform lentivirus and retrovirus packaging and transduction in primary cells and cell lines.
· Collaborate with other researchers to design and execute experiments in support of ongoing projects.
· Contribute to the preparation of patent application, scientific publications and presentations.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of experimental procedures and results.
Qualifications
