The Legal Internship Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a prospective lawyer in the Philadelphia region to gain hands-on, in-house legal experience within a dynamic multinational software company. Unlike traditional legal internships, this role offers exposure to a broad spectrum of legal work, from drafting and negotiating contracts to assisting with vendor, customer, and partner transactions, as well as intellectual property (IP) matters. The anticipated hourly rate is $22.00 per hour. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.

- Drafting and negotiating simple contractual documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), vendor agreements, and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Assisting with vendor, customer, and partner transactions to support business operations.
- Conducting legal research and helping the team with various projects.
- Supporting Intellectual Property (IP) matters.
Here’s How You’ll Be Making An Impact
- Drafting and Negotiation: Prepare and review contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Research & Analysis: Perform legal research and provide summaries or reports to support decision-making within the legal team.
- Transaction Support: Collaborate with team members to assist with vendor, customer, and partner transactions.
- Project Assistance: Participate in various legal and compliance projects, providing practical input and organizational support.
- IP Assistance: Support intellectual property matters, such as open source and patent-related inquiries.

- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Law (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of contract law and commercial transactions is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A keen interest in commercial law, technology and software-related legal issues is a plus.
