The Sales Organization & Role

 

The Sales Organization in Qlik is the primary connection to our customers and prospects, focusing on driving revenue in new accounts and expanding our presence in the territory's existing customer. The teams work geographically or are industry focused and have strong dependencies and alliance partnerships for the creation of new opportunity, cross sell and opportunity creation.

 

The primary role of this Senior Manager role is to lead, develop, operationalize and optimize programs, processes, and systems to help enable Qlik to scale its North America alliance partner sales. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of several important aspects of the Strategic GSI & Technology alliance programs as well as acting as a key player with the following organizations within Qlik: Sales Operations, Field Sales, Channel Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Deal Desk.

This role requires a strong balance of business strategy & operations, program design, execution oversight, and global coordination/communication with strong sales & people management skills.

 

For success in this role, candidates must possess the drive to achieve quick results, have the capacity to assume increasing responsibility in a highly successful, fast-paced global organization and work as a partner with many other sales leaders at Qlik.

 

The Senior Manager, Strategic GSI & Technology Alliances Role

 

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

  • Lead and coach the Strategic GSI & Technology Alliances sales team in driving a successful strategy and model that supports business success and contributes to aggressively expanding the Qlik footprint in North America.
  • Successfully lead and manage a geographically distributed team of alliance managers.
  • Develop and implement a North America alliances strategy that is aligned with Qlik’s overall strategy to drive top line revenue growth.
  • Ensure that the Strategic GSI & Technology Alliances team meet or exceed revenue targets as directed and contribute strongly to the business.
  • Develop and execute global joint value propositions for each partnership and communicate internally and externally. Build business plans with timelines, success metrics and planned activities to achieve business goals.
  • Lead and manage partner enablement programs according to the business plan across each region within North America.
  • Introduce Strategic GSI & Technology Alliances partners to Qlik sales, marketing and services and create, manage and participate in joint marketing events.
  • Aggressively build and effectively manage strong pipeline through the team, manage any issues and share partner successes with the broader Qlik community across North America.
  • Be an ambassador and represent Qlik in all relevant events, public speaking opportunities, large bids and other customer/partner forums as required
  • Recruit, develop, motivate and retain the Strategic GSI & Technology Alliances sales team in North America and help each member of the team be successful in their careers with Qlik
  • Contribute to the on-going development and formulation of a solid GSI & Technology alliances Partner strategy for the business as it continues to grow.
  • Partner with regional colleagues as well as global teams on business development opportunities to maximize best results for Qlik

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • 10 years of successful partner management within the data management ecosystem or an enterprise data management software company
  • Experience working for / or with Analytics, BI or Data Management Software Companies
  • Experience of managing a geographically distributes sales team
  • Experience of working with and industry insights for following strategic partnerships; Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, AWS, Microsoft, Snowflake & Databricks
  • Experience Managing within a matrixed organization
  • Experience of managing partners across the primary countries within North America
  • Experience building and managing successful GSI & Technology Alliance sales teams
  • Experience in managing partners across all territories in North America
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time across North America
  • Strong global & North America GSI & Technology alliances network
  • Proven track record of carrying and achieving assigned quotas
  • Acute awareness of the BI market, organizational trends and business discovery and transformation
  • Experience of a recognized Sales Methodology will be an advantage
  • A drive for execution /results
  • The ability to execute and deliver against business goals consistently driving profitability and contribution to revenue achievement
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with strong ability to work collaboratively across a matrix organization and obtain positive visibility and credibility quickly

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $185,500 - $192,500 per year. This position is eligible for a commission within a range of $79,500 – $82,500 subject to meeting targets set forth in a sales compensation plan. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
