BUSINESS ANALYST
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
WORK LOCATION: Hybrid Remote- US based. Open only to candidates who reside in the following states - DC, MD and VA
POSITION: We are seeking a Business Analyst to help us maintain our position as a steward for our customers’ mission, goals and objectives. As a Business Analyst, you will apply industry best practices and established policies, practices, processes, procedures and technologies to the customer’s operations to improve effectiveness and efficiency. You will develop conceptual business models and identify relevant issues and considerations when selecting technology and process solutions.
ABOUT: Leading woman-owned small business Education Technology (EdTech) and Information Technology (IT) Consulting firm based in Washington, DC area that specializes in Cybersecurity / Data Protection, Cloud Lifecycle, Software Development and Data Science.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Business Analyst, who reports to the Project Manager, responsibilities will include the following:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
- Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states.
- Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
- Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
- Achieve organizational goals while adhering to organizational standards and industry best practices

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: The Business Analyst must have:
- Three years of experience as a business analyst
- Federal civilian healthcare agency experience within last 24 months
- Public trust background check within last 12 months
- Strong written document, verbal, and presentation skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
SALARY: $85k - $105k depending upon experience
