Case Supervisor
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: Volunteers as assigned
Job Summary:
The Case Supervisor is responsible for the coordination, supervision and management of all volunteer activity overseeing the management of child abuse cases.
This position requires developing and maintaining professional relationships with judges, court staff, lawyers and state and community agencies. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for assisting with the recruitment, screening and training of all volunteers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop initial case plan and on-going strategies to assist volunteer advocacy
- Supervise and further train, guide and coach volunteers through child welfare court cases
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into case management database for reporting as required for State funding
- Keep necessary records as described by case management procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in social service-related field or a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years work experience in a related field or experience as a CASA volunteer
- Ability to communicate with, empower, support and coach volunteers to be effective in their roles
- Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics of families in crisis relating to child abuse and neglect
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Punctuality and time management skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines
- Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, ability to learn case management database)
- Ability to work independently
