This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the program, grant and budget and ensuring that planned activities are implemented.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grant titled Pregnant People-Infant Linked Longitudinal Surveillance. The program has three main goals : 1) to expand surveillance capacity; 2) improve care coordination for infants and pregnant and postpartum people affected by substance use; and 3) collaborate with partners to improve the system of care for infants with NAS and their families. The NAS Surveillance Program team consists of a Program Director, a Medical Director, and Epidemiologist, and two Public Health Nurse Consultants.
This is a contract position that will report directly to the Tennessee Birth Defects Surveillance Program Director.
Key Job Responsibilities :
Lead weekly team meetings
Attend and represent the Tennessee team during all meetings with CDC and other awarded jurisdictions
Oversee the completion of all grant deliverables and manage the grant budget
Actively participate in strategic planning for the program
Work with the team to develop reports and disseminate findings to leadership and partners
Keep up-to-date on NAS surveillance best practices and identify opportunities to learn from partners and other jurisdictions participating in NAS surveillance and research
Identify opportunities for the NAS team to share data and program findings at conferences and through manuscript development
This hybrid position requires working remotely and in the Nashville, TN office. Travel to the central office in Nashville is non-reimbursable. The position is renewable through September 2027.
