Job Description.

Industrial leader in precision Aerospace and Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) machining, producing

turbine blades and vanes using high precision CNC milling, EDM, and 3 and 5-axis creep feed and

CBN grinding has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager (Head of Maintenance) for 3

sites in the greater Western Chicago area.

The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager oversees a team of maintenance technicians (8), ensuring

optimal uptime and efficiency across three multiple sites. Responsibilities include installation,

troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of factory and electrical equipment. The Manager also

develops preventative maintenance processes and schedules.

Successful candidates are energetic, success-driven, and possess deep technical expertise with

strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities.

• Develop vision and roadmap for a 24-hour aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Supervise daily work, schedules, and capital projects.
• Limit downtime by supporting production operations.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
• Promote a positive atmosphere and coordinate with production supervision.
• Maintain strategic inventory of spare parts.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Coach and train maintenance team members.
• Recommend improvements to production methods and equipment performance.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance.
• Flexible work schedule to meet facility needs.
• Develop and deliver against specific KPIs.
• Manage maintenance budget with fiscal responsibility.
  
  

Qualifications And Education Required.

• High school diploma plus 1-3 years apprenticeship/applied trades training or 2-year
  
  

Associate Degree.

• Experience in industrial electrical (3-phase), controls, mechanical, pneumatics, and
  
  

hydraulics.

• Minimum 7 years’ experience leading a manufacturing maintenance team.
• Familiarity with CMMS.
• Proven success in manufacturing Maintenance Management, Lean Manufacturing, and
  
  

workforce development.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
