Job Description :
Qorvo SFBU is looking for a Staff Application Engineer. In this role, you will be working closely with our mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate our sensing products into our customers' electronic devices. We work closely with different OEMs on next generation products such as window switch panels, smart surfaces and wearables, etc. This will provide you with an opportunity to understand how different products are designed and manufactured. In this role, you will see the entire process from concept design, proof of concept builds through mass production. Your task will focus on system software integration and algorithm development. There will also be opportunities for traveling to customer headquarters in Asia and Europe. This job will give you the opportunity to work closely with MEMS and CMOS designers, helping them continuously improve the family of products we offer. This is a fast-paced role, we need engineers who are hungry to learn and move fast.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Owner of technical documentation like application notes, datasheet, design guide.
- Hands-on in multi-disciplinary activities in electrical design, debug, hardware bring-up of solutions of targeted applications.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions for internal and customers' designs particularly in mechanical, electrical, software integration and algorithm development.
- Prototype / product test & characterization
- Support sensor promotion & training, address global customers & FEAs' questions / issues from concept to MP
- Work closely with R&D designers for new product test and verification
- Work closely with customers & R&D to continuously improve the family of products Qorvo offers.
- 10% domestic and international travel

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience : $160,500 - $208,700, relevant for the California Bay Area (subject to change dependent on physical location)
