Position Summary : OVERVIEW STATEMENTS ABOUT THE POSITION
- Support customers and the sales team with technical aspects of the sales process by phone, email, face to face, and video meetings
- Translate customer requirements to product specifications and recommendations
- Project planning and execution for implementation of new product lines, services, and documentation initiatives
- Function as subject matter expert for the products and applications
- Update and maintain databases with product information.
- Collaborate with vendors in developing new and custom proprietary products
- Work closely with Supply Chain Management regarding current supply chain, alternative suppliers and their strengths and weaknesses as it relates to products
- Attend industry conferences and exhibitions
- Identify new opportunities for products & services from industry trends, vendor, and customer interaction
- Evaluation of new products and specification development
- Researching customer requirements and regulatory requirements
- Working closely with Product Managers, Marketing, Sales, Quality and Operations to move sales opportunities, product, and service projects forward
- 10-20% travel to trade shows, conferences, customers, and suppliers
- Other duties as assigned
