What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Mold Technician position at QPS Employment Group?
Position Title: Mold Technician
Wage: $21.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 4:00pm-12:00am
QPS Employment Group has a great Mold Technician position available at a company in Waverly, NE. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Mold Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install molds by using hoist or forklift to lift, and then manually manipulates and secures mold in press.
- Sets up and shuts down mold according to set up sheet and diagram; properly attach/remove water lines and safety equipment.
- Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operations.
- Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine to meet products specifications.
- Replace worn machine accessories, such as controls switches. Cleans press, molds and parts.
- Inspect and measure machined products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Records production and raw material usage accurately and inventory software.
- Prepares and position support equipment and raw material.
- Assist in providing support and training to operators.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment following safety procedures and policies.
- Tends support equipment other than molding press and mold.
Mold Technician Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to use hands to grasp, finger, handle, reach, or feel.
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Knowledge of property of plastics and molding process to identify problems and solutions.
- Mechanical experience required; plastics processing experience is proffered.
- Basic math skills, and ability to read and interpret documents.
