Position Title: City Clerk
Wage: $18-$20/hour

QPS Employment Group is hiring a City Clerk for an opportunity in Hudson, IA. This is an associate to hire role.
City Clerk Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Greet and assist citizens and visitors with inquiries
- Accept, log, and process documents and payments accurately
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, and emailing
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain and update electronic and physical filing systems
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and room bookings
- Order and maintain office supplies inventory
- Assist in the preparation of reports, forms, and other documents
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support office operations
City Clerk Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications a plus
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or front desk role preferred
- Familiarity with municipal or government operations is a bonus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
