Position Title: Customer Support Specialist
Wage: $19.50/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm
We are seeking a Customer Support Specialist for a busy manufacturing company in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role requires proficiency in computer usage, with a strong focus on repetitive data entry tasks for processing customer purchase orders. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer support via phone and email, assisting with inquiries related to orders and products. Additionally, this role involves collaboration with the artwork team, including assisting with production-ready artwork and customer proofs.
Customer Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently process customer purchase orders through repetitive data entry tasks
- Provide excellent customer service via phone and email, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls, offering order and product-related information as needed
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product offerings and pricing within the promotional products industry
- Work closely with the artwork team to ensure seamless coordination between artwork needs and order entry
- Assist with production-ready artwork needs, including sending proofs to customers, resizing artwork, and facilitating customer communication to ensure optimal print results on pens
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and utilize Adobe Illustrator to support artwork-related tasks; prior experience with the program is a plus
Requirements for Customer Support Specialist:
- Proficiency in computer usage and data entry tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new software programs, particularly Adobe Illustrator
- Experience in customer support or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of graphics and Adobe Illustrator is highly desirable
