What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Sanitation Team Member position at QPS Employment Group?
Position Title: Food Sanitation Team Member
Wage: $21.00/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 4:00pm - 4:00am; 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
Are you dedicated to maintaining pristine cleanliness in food production environments? We're seeking a detail-oriented individual to handle sanitation duties, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness in our cheesemaking facility. Food Sanitation Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean all cheesemaking equipment and facilities according to the sanitation schedule
- Operate CIP system to clean equipment such as vats, towers, product lines, milk HTST, and cream HTST separator
- Circulate chemical solutions through balance tank pump to clean fines saver and related equipment
- Hand clean whey and milk line valves, product pumps, fines saver, and other vat room equipment
- Clean walls, floors, drains, tables, and equipment in various plant areas
- Document cleaning activities in worksheets and sanitation schedules
- Test and maintain chemical concentrations and dispensing equipment
- Fill and replace chemical drums and barrels throughout the plant
- Operate Tables room C.O.P. tank according to procedures
- Adhere to company safety, HACCP, and GMP policies
- Report any food safety or quality issues promptly to management or authorized personnel
Food Sanitation Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education (GED) and 3-6 months of prior relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs - 50% of the shift
- Able to stand - 100% of the shift
- Able to work in a fast-paced and repetitive environment
- Able to work independently and with others
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to work in hot or cold environment
