Position Title: Cutter Operator
Wage: $20.00 - $22.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience operating a Lectra cutting machine to join our Canvas department in Pewaukee, WI. In this role, you will serve as a backup for our current Lectra machine operator, assembling supply kits for home sewers and assisting in sewing tasks as needed. Cutter Operator Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow safety guidelines and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals
- Conduct regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report issues promptly
- Organize and manage inventory of raw materials and finished components to support production needs
- Participate in team meetings to discuss workflow improvements and production updates
- Assist in training team members on processes and machine operation
- Cross-train in other departmental tasks to provide additional support during peak periods
- Document work processes, updates or any deviations for tracking and quality assurance purposes
Requirements for Cutter Operator:
- Experience operating Lectra cutting machines
- Basic knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting; programming knowledge is not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Sewing experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and handle materials for extended periods
