Skilled - Maintenance - Lead

Position Title: Maintenance – Lead

Salary: $80,000-$85,000 per year

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance – Lead position at a company in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position.

Maintenance – Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and lead the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive maintenance for equipment and facilities to ensure minimal downtime.
• Perform regular inspections of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
• Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from staff, ensuring timely and effective service.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building safety, equipment standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and replacement of equipment and facility systems.
• Develop and maintain inventory records for tools, parts, and supplies; order materials as needed to maintain operations.
• Manage relationships with third-party contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
• Assist with budgeting and cost control by tracking maintenance expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Maintain and update records for equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and organized, adhering to all health and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities and suggest improvements to enhance facility operations.

Maintenance – Lead Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field preferred).
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, equipment repair, or a similar field.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance role.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
