Position Title: Welder
Wage: $19-$25/hour DOE
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group is working with a leading manufacturer of asphalt plant equipment and parts to fill several DIRECT HIRE welding and fabricating roles for a company in Waverly, Iowa. If you have 2 years of experience in manufacturing, possess strong welding skills, and are committed to producing high-quality work, we encourage you to apply.
Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Weld mild steel using GMAW and FCAW processes
- Interpret blueprints accurately
- Perform visual inspections for weld defects
- Use cutting equipment and metal finishing tools
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Operate forklifts
Welder Requirements:
- 2 years of welding experience
- Experience with large structures is a plus
- Proficiency in tools and equipment use
- Basic math skills and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of safety practices
- Lift 40 lbs
