What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at QPS Employment Group?
Position Title: Welder
Wage: $20-$22/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday
We are looking for candidates with varying levels of experience in welding. This position is willing to take entry-level welding candidates all the way up to experienced welders! With room to grow, this company fosters an environment that lends well to candidates that are eager to learn new skills and hone their current skill set.
Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspect and repair welds as needed to help support Production and Assembly Departments
- Apply appropriate welding process to materials and repair welds on parts per specifications
- Perform as a team member which requires you to cross train in other departments
- Read and understand tape measures, various gauges, work orders, charts, and safety regulations
- Knowledge and skills of five welding processes (Fuel Gas, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc)
Welder Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended amounts of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel as needed
- High level of attention to detail and organized
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with customers, coworkers, and leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient with computers including handheld scanners
- Function with a team, take direction, and have a positive attitude always
