As a Director, Business Development – Cell Therapy, you will promote QPS’ newly launched portfolio of Cell Therapy products and services within existing accounts and/or secure new accounts at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies globally. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and will play a critical role in identifying areas of growth, as well as shaping the overall commercial strategy for the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through close, including prospecting, networking, cold-calling, meetings, making presentations, following up, and negotiating
- Develop, prepare, and implement a comprehensive territory business plan to identify new target accounts and target opportunities within an assigned geographic area to meet revenue goals
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term sales pipeline to consistently generate revenue
- Prepare and provide accurate territory forecasts
- Identify and map the key stakeholders and decision makers around projects and opportunities in your territory
- Secure targeted meetings to identify and advance opportunities with your customers
- Lead and organize internal stakeholders to support your customers; provide Voice of Customer (VOC) on content, customer needs/drivers, audience profile, etc.
- Create and deliver presentations; coordinate appropriate resources for customer visits
- Utilize sales tools regularly and properly to work efficiently and to document customer interactions (CRM, literature, etc.)
- Assist with executing other daily tasks or special projects, as assigned.
- Independently travel to meet with current and prospective customers, attend vendor shows and seminars, and sales meetings.
- Travel requirement within sales territory is approximately 50%, with potential for international travel.
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in a life science field
- Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience in Life Sciences, with a preference for direct experience in Cell Therapy
