Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs within the construction environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EHS protocols, and risk management strategies. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety standards, promoting occupational health, and fostering a culture of safety throughout our construction sites. Per Diem is available at GSA rate plus car allowance
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and Lni regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide training and education to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with project managers to assess risks associated with construction activities and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure timely reporting of incidents to appropriate stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in local, state, and federal regulations relevant to occupational health and safety.
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to senior management for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries from employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Journeymen Card or 7 years in a skill trade
- Proven experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management software and compliance management systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 E standards and workers' compensation processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff at all levels effectively.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong focus on individual accountability.

Pay: $62.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
