Key Responsibilities

Product Data Management
- Upload SKUs, dimensions, pricing, materials, and images into platforms (e.g., BigCommerce, Cin7).
- Organize product data to align with merchandising strategies and business goals.
- Ensure consistent product taxonomy and categorization for easy navigation and product discovery.
- Manage large product data sets across multiple manufacturers, ensuring compliance with platform standards.
- Success Measure: Achieve a 100% cross-platform consistency rate (match rate of product between eCommerce systems) across all SKUs for critical fields (including, but not limited to name, category, and pricing) in the first six months.

Product Data Quality Control
- Regularly audit and verify product information for accuracy and completeness.
- Compare uploaded data to original datasheets, product manuals, and vendor specifications.
- Implement a data validation process that flags and resolves errors before products go live.
- Conduct routine QC checks to maintain clean, error-free data across systems.
- Coordinate with teams to address data inconsistencies quickly and prevent future issues.
- Success Measure: Less than .1% of data errors were reported by customers or internal teams for all products merchandised. Positive feedback from team members regarding data accuracy.

Workflow Optimization
- Develop scripts to extract and organize data from datasheets or CSVs.
- Create reusable import templates for BigCommerce, Cin7, and other platforms.
- Continuously refine workflows to reduce manual effort and error rates.
- Identify and implement new tools to automate product data management.
- Success Measure: Launch the target number of products per month to the e-commerce platforms (scaling from 200 products per month to 1600 per month). For 2025, the goal is to launch 10,000 new products.

- Create compelling product titles, descriptions, and meta tags based on keyword research.
- Ensure images meet quality standards and are properly formatted.
- Structure categories, collections, and filters for easy navigation and discovery.
- Update product content to reflect marketing promotions, new features, or customer/team feedback.
- Success Measure: Increased organic product visibility score for targeted products, measured monthly.

- Implement upselling and cross-selling tactics on product pages based on listed or related products.
- Based on SEO and competitor research, prioritize the launch of in-demand, profitable products.
- Collaborate with marketing to generate promotional campaigns with optimized product listings.
- Research competitor pricing to provide pricing recommendations.
- Monitor product conversion rates and identify trends or opportunities.
- Use A/B testing to improve product page performance.
- Success Measure: Increase average order value by 10%

Required Skills & Experience:
- Extreme attention to detail with experience handling large datasets, ensuring product data integrity across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation, and bulk data processing for efficient workflow management.
- Experience with platforms like BigCommerce, Shopify, or Magento for managing product data and listings.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for eCommerce, including keyword research and metadata optimization.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and vendors to enhance product offerings.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and optimize product listings for performance.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a structured and detail-oriented manner to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, or other scripting languages to automate and improve data workflows.
- Experience using A/B testing tools to analyze and improve product page performance.
- Understanding of pricing strategies, competitor research, and consumer behavior to optimize product offerings.
- Familiarity with technical B2B eCommerce such as industrial supply.
- Familiarity with Cin7, NetSuite, SAP, or other IMS/ERP systems for product and inventory management.
