The salary range for the position is $55,000 -$60,000 Annually
Job Summary:
QSAC is looking for a dedicated and organized Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team! You will be responsible for conducting internal audits of OWPDD-funded programs, investigations, fire drills and providing training to staff as needed in our residential program. If you have a strong understanding of OPWDD regulations, have training from the Justice Center as an investigator, are a SCIP-R and/or American Red Cross CPR instructor and enjoy supporting people with autism, then this could be a meaningful role for you.
Responsibilities
Program Supports
- Conduct internal audits of OPWDD-funded programs
- Ensure documentation of services provided are accurate and within OPWDD and Medicaid regulations
- Work with program staff to address any audit findings and improve documentation and procedures
- Provide plans for improvement to supervisors and programs in a timely manner
Investigations
- Conduct investigations into incidents under OPWDD 624 regulations and employee accidents/injures
- Interview staff in accordance with Justice Center and OPWDD guidelines for investigations
- Complete OPWDD 149 Investigative Reports in a timely manner
General
- Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals through understanding of rights and regulations
- May be required to report to alternate work locations (e.g. Day Programs, Residential Programs, etc.)
- Maintain individual/ family confidentiality
- Attend all trainings and in services provided
- Commitment to company values and adherence to policies
Qualifications & Work Experience
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- 2 years’ work experience in OPWDD-funded Quality Assurance capacity preferred
- Justice Center Investigative Training preferred
- Strong writing skills required
- CPR/First Aid and SCIP-R trainer certifications preferred
- Strong computer literacy skills required
- Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served
- Valid driver’s license in good standing required
- Flexibility and collaboration is essential
