CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist

We are looking to grow our team by adding a new CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist. This is a full-time hourly position that is responsible for operating and programming CNC lathe machines to produce precision components and parts. This role is crucial in our industry, where accuracy, efficiency, and quality are paramount.
Job requirements include the following:
- In-depth knowledge of CNC lathe operations required.
- Previous experience with programming languages (G-code, M-code) and MasterCAM experience preferred.
- Experience with HAAS control preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprint reading, and CAD models.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve machining issues, optimize tool paths, and make required machining adjustments.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using MasterCAM software or G-code programming. This involves specifying tool paths, speeds, feeds, and other parameters to achieve desired part specifications.
- Prepare the CNC lathe machine for operation, including loading raw materials and ensuring proper tooling is in place.
- Operate the CNC lathe machine, monitor the machining process and adjust as needed to ensure parts are produced within specified tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on the lathe machines such as tool changes, coolant replenishment, and cleaning.
- Additional appropriate items as your skills and experience allow.
