Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Madison, WI
Duration: Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remotely (within the state of WI).
- Lead and manage complex projects, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., PMI, Agile, Waterfall).
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
- Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor and control project progress, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on project status to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring efficient utilization and adherence to financial constraints.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
- Experience managing projects in [Specific Industry/Sector] is preferred.
- Experience in Agile project management is preferred.
