Role Overview
As a BOM/Work Order Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our production process. Your expertise in creating detailed documentation will ensure the seamless flow of operations. You will be responsible for developing Bills of Materials and Work Orders, leveraging your ability to interpret complex instructions and diagrams. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Manage BOMs and Work Orders: Utilize Sage to create and manage comprehensive Bills of Materials and Work Orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Compile Detailed Shop Packets: Prepare shop packets that include work orders, pick slips, drawings, and labels, facilitating smooth operational processes.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Purchasing teams to maintain precise BOM and configurator rules.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address BOM and sales order entry issues with effective problem-solving strategies.
- Conduct BOM Audits: Perform regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and correct parts usage in production.
- Communicate Effectively: Keep key stakeholders informed with timely updates and changes, supporting successful product launches.
Work Hours & Benefits Offered
- Fulltime position, working Monday – Friday, 1st shift, hours are either 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch break.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications
- Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in engineering or manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in engineering or BOM creation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of configurator software and the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook at a minimum), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks is highly desirable. The ability to read and comprehend AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings is also desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate alternative solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions.
- Time Management Skills: Self-starter who can complete activities with minimal direction and above-average time management skills
