We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Production Associate at our Memphis facility. This role is critical to our operations, involving both powder coating and assembly tasks to ensure the highest quality of our products. The successful candidate will be responsible for various essential functions, including cleaning, preparing, coating, assembling, and packaging products. This position requires a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Powder Coating Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Prepare and clean surfaces for powder coating using manual methods and various equipment, including chemical solvents, steam, or media blasting.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain powder coating equipment and tools, ensuring they function correctly and are in good working order.
- Color Matching: Mix and match powder coating colors according to specifications and customer requirements, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Application Process: Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns or other coating equipment. Ensure even and consistent powder coverage on all surfaces.
- Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and utilize testing equipment to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the coating process. Inspect finished products for uniformity, adherence, and quality.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production batches, coating specifications, and any adjustments made during the coating process.
- Safety Compliance: Utilize and adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal and state regulations.
Assembly Responsibilities:
- Product Assembly: Work on an assembly line to assemble and inspect lighting products and other items. Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to solder, weld, drill, and attach parts.
- Order Fulfillment: Receive orders and manage selection, production, and order fulfillment with FIFO methods. Ensure all products are accurately assembled and packaged for shipping.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor production machinery to ensure products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards. Report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
- Packaging: Prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled. This includes wrapping poles and affixing company logos and other details to products.
- General Maintenance: Keep the workstation clean and free of hazardous materials. Assist in the general upkeep of the facility and grounds.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break
Pay Range: $18.00/hour - $21.00/hour, depending on experience; paid bi-weekly.

Requirements:- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; participation in E-Verify is required.
- A high school diploma or GED, though a post-secondary trade/technical training is preferred.
- A minimum of six months of experience in metal finishing, powder coating, or a related assembly and production setting is required.
- Ability to pass an occupational medical evaluation and respirator fit testing as per OSHA requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Physical strength and stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting; ability to use hands for gripping and manipulating tools and materials.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and color differentiation.
- Exposure to various environmental conditions, including fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels typical of a production facility.
Work Environment:
- The job may involve working in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and under varying temperatures.
- Safety precautions are enforced, and hearing protection may be required in specific areas.
