Medical Case Specialist

In this rewarding role, you will :

Conducting high volume outbound calls to claimants to schedule medical evaluation appointments,  follow ups and any other needs in the scheduling process

Delivers exceptional customer service at all customer touch point

Triage daily download of referrals and ensure appropriate worksheets are assigned to corresponding conditions as identified by the Veteran’s Administration office

Verify appropriate Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and CLIN codes are assigned to each case

Obtain medical history for specific conditions

Determine appropriate examinations, tests and specialists required for each case

Schedule appointments for examinees including follow-up appointments and rescheduled appointments

Ensure all examinees and providers receive necessary documentation

You must have :

1 year of customer service background in a fast paced environment

High School Diploma / GED Required

1-3 months of medical assistant background or equivalent medical terminology background

Strong Communication / Customer Service Skills

Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

Preferred to have :

Highly driven with the ability to learn quickly

Computer Literacy  – Working with Dual Monitors and multiple software’s (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Proven ability to plan and organize work load

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced work environment

Good follow through skills

Must possess the ability and flexibility to work early morning, evening, and / or weekend shifts

Typical Day :

Hours will be Mon – Fri : 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm

Positions are located ONSITE at our Nashville office location... 100 Centerview Drive, Nashville, TN 37214

Employment as a Medical Case Specialist I will include successful completion of a 90-day probationary period during which you will be given objectives to achieve. This timeframe lets you assess your readiness for the position as well as allows Leidos QTC Heath Services to determine your ability to successfully perform the job. You will be provided objectives, documentation, training and performance feedback during the 90-day probationary period as part of your assimilation to the role. After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, you will be considered a permanent employee.

4-6 months of coaching, foundational, and mentorship training

Upon graduation of training, there is a potential to work a hybrid schedule (3 days from office, 2 days from home)

Pay and Benefits

Starting pay is $21.58 per hour with a 6% increase upon graduation of training

Eligible for a quarterly bonus up to 6% and annual merit increases
