The Director of our Leadership Development Programs has an opportunity to work with all levels in the organization and build programs that allow for the development of our most important thing at QTS, our people. Working in a culture that puts people first, this Director is key to maintaining that culture and training the next generation of leaders.
One such program is the QTS Leadership Development (QLDP) program. This program is designed to prepare high potential candidates to take on roles at QTS leading teams, functions, projects, and/or P&Ls. This 9–18-month program involves rotations within various key areas of our organization, providing exposure and opportunity in each rotational experience. Once program participants complete their rotation, they have an opportunity to explore job placements in areas of their interest.

What You Will Do:
- Lead the QTS Leadership Development (QLDP) and the Executive QTS Leadership Development (EQLDP) programs including project oversight, project sourcing, performance management, and placement strategies for those within the program.
- Provide project-specific coaching and support to QLDP employees to enhance their problem solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Identify project opportunities and/or implement process improvement projects and provide over-arching program support in critical areas, ensuring an equitable and balanced workload.
- Create individualized development plans for QLDP employees based on their strengths and weaknesses.
- Design programs to support the leadership development journey of those in assigned programs, ensuring success of both the employee and the overall program
- Develop and/or maintain a solid understanding of the data center industry, QTS product offering, and QTS operating model.
- As the program director, monitor program performance and budgets, and recommend adjustments to ensure program success.
- Analyze the operational and financial impacts of proposed solutions to make impactful recommendations.
- Regularly present progress and/or findings to various levels of QTS leadership.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
- 5 Years of leadership and mentoring experience supervising mid to large size teams, preferably working within a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced degree (technical Master’s degree or MBA) is preferred
- Program or project management certifications such as PgMP, PMP, CAPM, and/or CPD are preferred.
- 1-2 Years experience working in corporate strategy or a management consulting firm is preferred.
- Experience in technology, construction, engineering, or energy industries is preferred.
- Comfortable leveraging technology to solve problems and coaching others to do the same.
- Comfortable using data to tell a story, and leveraging analytics to support decisions.
- Leadership coaching and development.
- Experience designing and/or managing development programs is preferred
- Experience expanding and/or running global programs.
- Experience presenting information and ideas with all levels of leadership in an organization.
