What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech/Language Pathologist position at Quabbin Regional School District?
The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking a full time speech/language pathologist for the 2024-25 school year. The SLP will be responsible for a caseload with a variety of etiology including autism, developmental delay, cognitive impairments, language based learning disabilities, and communication disorders. The goal is to ensure all students with communicative needs are given the opportunity to develop to their maximum communicative potential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer screening tests and diagnostic assessments
• Conduct standardized assessments and create formal evaluation reports
• Conduct new and ongoing assessments of skills
• Develop new individualized goals
• Plan and implement direct therapy
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools and therapy techniques to support the curriculum
• Collect data on students' performances
• Report quarterly progress for individual students
• Participate in special education team meetings
• Consult with specialists and general education teachers regarding students
