What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Baseball Coach position at Quaboag Regional School District?
Qualifications: Experience coaching baseball at the middle school level or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
Assesses player’s skills and assigns team positions as required.
- Coaches and instructs players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
- Observes players during competition and practice to determine the needs for individual or team improvement.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certified
- NFHS Concussion Course completion
- MIAA Coached Education Compliant
- Models and demonstrates proper student athlete behavior and provides proper supervision of athletes during all team sanctioned activities.
- Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
- Lead safeguards for student-athletes’ presence at games, practices, and while traveling on buses.
- Inform school nurse or AD on injuries by completing an Accident Report.
- Remain on-site until all student-athletes have departed after games.
- Responsible for distribution and collection of all uniforms at the start and end of each season
- Inventory equipment and return it all in good condition after the season.
- Return school keys to Athletic Director at the end of the season.
Salary: As per agreement between Quaboag Regional School District and the Quaboag Education Association
