Technical Support Engineer (On-Site)
Our client based in Dallas, TX is seeking a Technical Support Engineer on a contract to hire basis working primarily on-site for 5 days a week.
The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for computer hardware troubleshooting and replacement, providing user support related to applications, hardware, and software, and performing IT onboarding and offboarding. Strong communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer
- Answering incoming IT related calls
- Configuring and shipping equipment and computers
- Maintenance of computer inventory
- Checking in and checking out equipment
- Assisting with technology assets documentation
- Maintaining regular communications with HR on onboarding and offboarding requirements
- Processing new hire access requests in various internally managed applications (Active Directory, SharePoint, etc.)
- Performing new hire orientation and onboarding
- Acting as main point of contact for IT equipment collection and employee access termination requests
- Providing management with onboarding and offboarding processes improvement solutions and reports
Requirements of the Technical Support Engineer
- Hands on Operating Systems maintenance and troubleshooting (Mac OS, Windows 10) experience
- Experience with Windows, Android, and Apple Mobile devices
- O365 proficiency
- System Center Endpoint Protection and related Malware Definition deployment, updating, and troubleshooting experience
- Microsoft patching and update/upgrade methodologies experience
- Through knowledge of PC imaging, software deployment tools and technologies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service orientation
- Attention to detail
Additional Details:
Compensation: $30/hour
Employment type: Contract to Hire
Location: Dallas, TX. 75225 (working on-site)
Hours: Monday – Friday (8am to 5pm)
The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
