What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Maintenance position at Quad Cities MetroLink?
MetroLINK is seeking a Director of Maintenance to provide leadership for the full scope of operations, programs, and activities functions provided by the bus maintenance department. This position is responsible for providing advice and counsel and developing maintenance operations strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
Essential Duties include:
- Directs, evaluates and oversees schedules of all maintenance operations, programs, quality assurance and warranty administration of revenue, vehicles, facility, utilities, and staff.
- Plans, organizes, administers, reviews, and evaluates the work of skilled maintenance and support staff.
- Recommends selection of staff, trains and provides for their professional development; administers discipline as required.
- Develops and coordinates all related fleet inspection, maintenance and repair functions and activities.
- Directs and assists in the preparation of and writes technical specifications for vehicles, equipment, parts and supplies; approves purchase order payments and administers various contracts,
- Directs the preparation, issuance, prioritization, billing and tracking of fleet maintenance and repair work orders.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree In Business or a related field, five (5) years of experience in fleet management and repair, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory/management role or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Salary : $77,280 - $100,464
